It's mostly 'One on one (one sp.educator with one student) and group therapy sessions for helping them with 'Social & Communication Skills'.

Generally 2 to 3 sessions / week are suggested

The students who approach us with the above mentioned difficulties are helped with structured 'Remedial program' which enables.

  • (a) Management and Enhancement of skills like Reading, Writing and Math.
  • (b) Transference of skills in to school performance.
  • (c) Improved Social Skills.
  • (d) Focused attention and control in behavioral problems

Procedure starts with an 'Informal assessment' by the special educator.

A formal assesment (Psycho educational assessment) will be conducted by an 'Educational Psychologist' to have the proper diagnosis of the exact difficulties being faced by the child.

Based on the above results, an IEP ( Indiividualized Education Plan) is generated for a specific period of time ( 3 - 6 months).

An IEP is shared with the parents and teachers, to make the child's learning process more effective.

During this process, we take the help of 'Multi modal therapy', involving other therapists like Occupational therapists & Speech therapists.

At the end of the specified time period, a progress report is generated.



Tutorial based remedial therapy

The students who have minimal difficulties in coping with their academics, are with assisted with an educational plan which has more of curriculum based goals. 'Study Skills' is area which is considered more important here.



Psychiatrist (consultant)

Students identified with psychiatric problems are referred to a Psychiatrist.

  • Occupational therapy is an important part of remedial therapy.

Group sessions are being conducted for the younger group of children ( Pre primary, Jr. Kg & Sr.kg) an Occupational therapist with assistance of the class teachers.

It gives an opportunity for the teachers to learn the techniques by an expert in turn helps them to use the same consistently in the classroom situation.



Speech Therapy

Students with specific Speech related difficulties (when required) are referred to a 'Speech Therapist'.

Enabler Program for teachers and qualified parents.



Workshops for parents

Counselling for Adolescents, students and Relationship counselling.

Students are sent with referrals by their class teachers and parents.

Session duration is 1hour.

Vocational Guidance (Career Guidance) testing which ' Enables the students to make their career options wisely'.

CG testing is conducted for the students of 9th and 11th standards.

An expert Career Counsellor conducts the tests and generates the reports which are shared with the students and their parents. Assistance is provided to them till they choose the right option.
